This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When the weather outside is too cold, my students need engaging and creative ways to stay active and collaborative indoors. With the help of Play-Doh, Magna-Tiles, and LEGO bricks, students will transform our classroom into a world of imagination and engineering. Play-Doh will be used for crafting trees, animals, flowers, and other unique additions to their creations. Magna-Tiles will be used to construct walls, windows, and the foundations of buildings they might see in their comunity and the LEGO Bricks will be used for building doors, roofs, towers, and intricate details like roads and pathways. These materials will allow students to build and explore concepts like stability, design, and city planning, all while fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Whether creating vibrant towns, sturdy bridges, or whimsical playgrounds, this project will provide hands-on, educational fun during indoor recess. This project gives my students the tools to practice teamwork as they collaborate to build their designs and develop engineering skills through experimentation with stability and height but most importantly explore creativity in a fun, engaging environment.
