My Project

I teach a diverse group of second graders from a low-income/high poverty area. Most of my students struggle with the idea of school work. They don't get a lot of help from home and any educational experiences they receive are done at school. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions and answers. They love hands-on activities and projects that are engaging and allow them to think outside the box to find the possible solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow academically and personally. Truly, they are an inspiration!

Help give my students the materials they need to inspire their desire to write and draw.

By learning the basics of drawing simple pictures and creations helps to improve their reading and writing scores.

By teaching them how to draw I have seen lots of growth and progress with my students in their reading and writing test scores.
