My students need button badges, 2 sets of write/wipe boards, 1 set of write/wipe erasers, 2 die storage racks, 1 jumbo timer, 6 trays, and an addition/subtraction kit.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." ~Rita Pierson
I believe in my students and I now they deserve the best that I have to offer.
I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners.
I work with students with autism, students with specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and students who may benefit from small group interventions. Close to 90% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, and about 60% of our students are English language learners.
My Project
We are getting ready to open our student store. The student store will help their financial literacy skills. I am also asking my students to make bracelets and buttons to sell. They need button badges to get started.
We will use the write/wipe boards and write/wipe erasers to work out math money problems. Each students will have a chance to work on their individual board. If they realize they made a mistake, it will be easy to erase the problem and start over.
The die storage racks will be used to store out number dies. The jumbo timer will be used to time our reading, writing, and math centers. It will make it easy for us to see the timer and know exactly how much time we have left. The trays will be used to store our work.
My students will master their addition/subtraction skills with the regrouping kits. They will place a problem card onto the tray, count out place value tiles to visually represent each number in the equation then just regroup the tiles to work out the answer.
Please help my students by contributing to a button badges, 2 sets of write/wipe boards, 1 sets of write/wipe erasers, 2 die storage racks, 1 jumbo timer, 6 trays, and an addition/subtraction kit for the new school year.
These resources will help my students remain organize and ready to learn. These items are important for my students to become lifelong learners.
