My Project

Bass drum players in marching bands aren't typically associated with finesse, and that's intentional. The mallets they wield endure significant abuse, inherent to their role. It's crucial to equip them with the right tools for the task. After much exploration, I've found that the offerings from American Drum in Richmond, Virginia, are unparalleled for our needs. Their products are renowned for withstanding the rigors of even the most aggressive drummers.

Crafted from extruded aircraft aluminum, these mallets boast superior tensile strength compared to formed or welded metals.

American Drum pioneered the use of heavy-gauge aluminum for marching mallet shafts, a standard now adopted by all major manufacturers. With a wall thickness of .065, they strike the perfect balance between durability and weight, ensuring they can withstand intense playing without hindering performance. These mallets are built tough for the toughest drummers out there!
