My Students
My incredible students are learning both Spanish and English. In fact, they are learning to tell time (and all of their math) in a second language! Having individual clocks to manipulate will help them learn to tell time even when they cannot understand every word I say.
My Project
These small clocks will help my students practice telling time. It is especially important when learning math in a second language to have a concrete example of the concepts being taught.
Even when the students do not understand every word in Spanish, they can watch and follow along with the clocks and learn the phrases that they need to learn.
Before long, they have learned to not only tell time, but to speak Spanish as well! They will be so interested in the clocks that it will not seem like work.
