My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in drama & technology. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to be hands on - with this when presenting our show - we pride ourselves in having a professional atmosphere.
This program and class is 100% student run!
With over 50 students involved after school and 50 students involved during class, these items will be used to not only help our students understand the business/financial side of theater and drama but also allow us to continue to give them real world experiences that replicate professional theaters in our area.
In our classroom we take real theatrical scenarios and put them in classroom context - i.e. trouble shooting problems a concessions or helping someone find a seat. Counting correct change from a purchase and even selling tickets. How to create a budget for concessions, what will they sell, what foods will be there, will there be apparel, what will it be pried at? We then use these classroom experiences and flip them when we have a performance in school. Our program is 100% student run - so everything that happens is controlled by students (with adult supervision). We also, take professional recordings on a platformcalled switcher studio that only uses ios devices. We use these scanrios to record short films, school productions, and event live sporting events (Sportscasting).
Allow our greeters, ushers, front of house, lighting, video, and sound design students to be betting equiped to put on AMAZING productions!
