This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have 11 amazing students, most of whom are on the autism spectrum. They have varying behavioral and sensory needs that must be met before we can even begin to work on academics. Please help me provide different sensory activities for my students to use to help with emotional regulation and with exploring their environment through the senses. We need Sight & Sound Tubes, sensory stones, and sensory noodles.

At the end of last year, we discovered that students really enjoyed different sensory boxes that they can dig in and explore.

It helped to calm them and enabled us to increase their focus time, as well as gave them much-needed distractions in the classroom.
