This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from hardworking families on the West Side of Chicago. They are incredibly bright and have an enormous capacity to learn, to work diligently, and to succeed! I wish to match their incredible efforts with the best possible resources here in our learning community.

At this time, when critical thinking is often disregarded in favor of "alternative facts", my students and I are trying our best each day to promote the crafting of logical claims and the citation of relevant evidence.

My Project

Our middle-school students are coming out for the inaugural season of our Debate Team in droves! Minimum participation in our conference requires a team of four... and we've already got TWENTY-FIVE bright and enthusiastic students ready to sink their teeth into this year's timely and controversial topic-- Arms Control.

Please help us to efficiently organize our case files and record our terrific ideas as we prepare for each tournament throughout our first ever season of varsity DEBATE!
