This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the excitement on your child's face after working on the computer and printing the work in color? That is the same excitement I would like for my students to experience.
My first grade students are a group of wonderful and enthusiastic learners.
They live in a low income area in Southern California and have limited access to technology resources. Many of them don't have computers at home. The majority of them are English language learners who are curious and eager to learn about the world around them. Their enthusiasm and smiles inspire me and keep me motivated.
My Project
With a color printer students will be able to print their work to display in the classroom and show this to their parents. In addition, we will be able to print pictures that document the different activities in which the children are engaged, allowing them to take ownership of the classroom environment. Students will incorporate computer skills and technology as they work through the writing process.
