My Project

Having a diverse classroom library leads students to read about people who are similar and different from themselves. Including diversity within books allows students to see people who look like them, talk like them, act like them, and other cultural differences. These books allow students to learn about topics in math, science, social studies, and social emotional learning. They will also see other kids and people of different colors, who have disabilities, and characteristics.

As the students read these books they will see diversity through cultures, while learning about different topics.
