Help me give my students frisbees, hulu hoops, double bubble, and puzzles; items we are reading about during our summer program to play with and enjoy!
Our classroom community is greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic. My students are completing work at home via google classroom, zoom, and google docs. We have a regular set schedule to meet on zoom and for the most part students make every effort to attend. I have 15 students who will be continuing with online learning through an ELL summer program with me. We will be working on reading, writing, and math while further developing their English language development. The students opted into this program and are so excited for our program to start!
My Project
My students are so excited for our summer program to start up! We will be learning together from July 6th - August 7th. We will be reading about the history of puzzles, bubble gum, frisbees, and hulu hoops. As I am preparing our materials I thought to myself how fun it would be to drop off some of the items we will be reading about to the students at their houses (adhering to COVID-19 guidelines and with permission from the family of course!). Students opted into our summer program and I'd love to be able to bring them some summer fun to also enjoy with their families!
