My Project
Daily living skills for special education students encompass the practical abilities needed for independent living and participation in society. One of these skills focuses on personal care. This includes hygiene, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
Our students work on these skills daily as part of their curriculum.
Toothbrushes and toothpaste are always an item of need.
This skill is one of the Basic ADLs (BADL) or physical ADLs required to manage one's basic physical needs, including personal hygiene or grooming, dressing, toileting, transferring or ambulating, and eating.
Working on this skill daily helps to gain independence and confidence in their lives.
