My Students
Every year I am lucky enough to teach 2nd grade students that have unique backgrounds and come from all around the world. This year, I have a designated EL classroom where roughly 1/2 of the population receives EL services. My student population represents 7 different countries and languages.
My goal is to build a strong classroom community where students support each others' learning.
We are an active bunch who loves to play games and work with each other on creative projects.
My Project
With this project, I'm hoping to help my students succeed through stocking my classroom with basic items and some creative solutions. Some of the basic items include a pencil sharpener, cardstock, paint brushes, and scented markers. These will help my students create fun projects that will engage them in their learning.
To get creative, I'm asking for items to support my math block.
I have requested math comparing puzzles for a station that students can work on together. I've also included some fun games for the kids like Super Genius addition cards and Mancala!
These items, amongst others, will help my students succeed in class!
