Greetings! I am the Instructional Technology Coach at the amazing BSE where we are “Building a Community of Leaders.” We are a Title I school located in rural South Carolina. After 20 years in education, I am excited about this new journey and all the learning opportunities it will bring. I know that working with students in kindergarten through 5th grade will bring challenges that will strengthen us all. Welcome to our STEM adventure and fasten your seat belts for the ride!
If there is one lesson that I have learned, it is not to place my own limitations on my students.
When you serve students in a high-need, high-poverty area, every advantage has the potential to be life-changing. No matter what challenges our students may face in life, they come to school ready to learn and eager to explore.
My Project
I am excited about the chance to attend one of the premier technology conferences in education. Due to travel costs, in addition to the cost of the conference, I am usually unable to attend. The knowledge that I can gain from this conference will help me to grow in my craft as an Instructional Technology Coach.
This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn and grow with my colleagues from around the world.
Each year I look to grow my knowledge of technology integration tools and strategies. This year I am specifically focused on my coaching techniques. Being able to attend the ISTELive 21 virtual conference will connect me with other educators who can support my growth goals.
