It Takes a Community to Build a Classroom!

My students need school supplies! In second grade pencils, notebooks, crayons, scissors, glue, dry-erase boards and cleaning supplies are essential.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic learners, who are full of life and energy! The students love learning by working together and ultimately want to succeed. My second graders are growing up in Englewood and come from low-income families. These students deal with many difficult issues because of their surroundings. They overcome obstacles through their positive interactions and learning within their school community. My students are super appreciative to use any resources that help aid them in their educational development. They are sweet, caring, intelligent and deserve the most opportunities when it comes to learning while on their journey to becoming future social change agents in their community.

My Project

I am so excited to start my career as a new second-grade teacher! My students need resources in the classroom, such as basic school supplies like pencils, notebooks, crayons, scissors, glue sticks and dry-erase boards, to support them in their educational success throughout the year. My goal is to be an advocate for my students and help them achieve as much as possible.

Starting my first year teaching in one of the lowest income neighborhoods in the city, I know my second grade students will need this support.

Having the right amount of resources can influence how well a student understands the lesson. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
