This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I provide services for children with speech and language impairments in grades kindergarten through eighth grade in an inner-city, public school in New York City. Each one of my students has individual goals ranging from improvements in vocabulary, writing, reading, cognition, stuttering, and speech articulation. My students and their families lack the resources required for academic, speech, and language improvements. I try my best to provide these resources to help them succeed in school and to improve their self-esteem.
My Project
My speech and language impaired students need ink so that they can make copies and print out their schoolwork to support their individual learning styles and academic progress. There are no in-school facilities to allow my special education students to print their assignments or to make copies of their work for extra support. This donation will help the students at our school who have speech and language impairments to provide them with an essential resource that will help them feel success, encourage their motivation, and help them improve in all academic areas. Please help my kids obtain basic resources for academic success!
