Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At my Title I school, students come from a variety of backgrounds. They frequently tell me that they enjoy science class the most because they are exposed to seeing, feeling, and creating new things. I have the pleasure of teaching honors 8th-grade students and teaching them an accelerated high school course. This group of students is extremely self-motivated, driven, and interested in the sciences. Many of these students attend science specialized high schools after graduation.

My Project
Teaching 120 eager students is fantastic until you realize you don't have the materials to make them successful.
There is absolutely nothing more frustrating than when a fantastic lesson cannot be executed properly due to a lack of copies.
Working in a very large school, copy demands are understandably extremely high. I frequently differentiate lessons by providing students with two versions as well as challenge questions to provide students with choices and extensions. None of this can be done properly without paper and ink. Your donation will help students obtain handouts, sentence starters, scaffolds, and homework assignments when they need them to move their learning forward.
