Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During the pandemic, our students' regular routines were completely upended by the switch to remote schooling. Now, we are grateful to be back in-person learning, but many students are struggling to get their attendance back on track.
We know how much good attendance matters.
It's an indicator of academic success as well as social-emotional health. We want our students to know that it matters when they are here! We will set a monthly attendance goal with students and use these gift cards to motivate them to improve their attendance and reach their goals. In the past, these gift cards have been an extremely popular prize and this incentive program has a big impact on student outcomes.
