Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This new school year would be wonderful if it began with these very needed items. My students write every single day. I begin with modeling and using sentence frames. Students enjoy using anchor charts with information and ideas to help them write. Having a mobile easel would really be helpful in my class so my students can have access to these charts with more visibility. The easel can move around the classroom and be available to all students.

Not all my students bring supplies!

Every year I see only a few students bring all the supplies on the supply list. One of the supplies listed is a dry erase marker. I would like to start this new school year with not having to worry if everyone has a marker to begin our phonics lesson. Having dry erase markers available will avoid time being wasted on what is more important: learning!

I also like to use a whiteboard during small groups. My horseshoe table makes it hard to use the whiteboard on the wall. Having a little whiteboard next to me on an easel will be a game changer! It will give students and me quick access.
