My Students

My students are a sweet group of first graders who come from many different countries including Africa, Palestine, Iraq, Brazil, Vietnam, China, Japan, the Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Cote D'A'Ivoire, Lebanon, Spain, Peru and the Dominican Republic.
They are an excited and eager bunch! A portion of my students qualify for refugee status and coming to America has been exciting and overwhelming as they adapt and learn the language and customs. Many are first generation English speakers.
My Project
This is the school year that I hoped to become organized! A teacher toolbox is one of the materials that will help with this. Not only will my students be able to find materials quickly, but it will help remind me and set the example that "everything has a place".
Because of budget cuts within our district, we have really had to streamline our materials; that is why I am requesting a paper cutter.
A paper cutter will help me focus more on the content instead of spending so much time cutting projects individually for my ESL students. An Echo Dot will allow my students to practice asking questions and interacting with AIexa while obtaining information.
