My Students
After a year out of the classroom as a technology specialist, I am returning to the classroom this year to teach ninth grade computer literacy. This course will prepare the ninth grade students for success during their high school careers and beyond. Located in Philadelphia, our school offers Career and Technical Education Programs.
Ninth grade students are introduced to the different programs available and will select their pathway for tenth through twelve grade.
At the end of ninth grade, they will have the foundation needed for success in the technical programs.
My Project
Although I am not a math teacher, math is a constant in the business classroom. We do a variety of lessons in the business class from financial projects to engineering challenges. The students enjoy these challenges and come up with incredible solutions to everyday problems. One of my biggest problems though, is that students are constantly asking to go get calculators from the math department which wastes time during class.
The solution is to get a class set of calculators for the computer lab.
These calculators will help students with efficiency during Entrepreneurship Class. They will be able to complete assignments, solve challenges, and more.
