My Project

“Island of the Blue Dolphins” has always been one of my favorite novels to share with students. It’s a classic tale of survival, strength, and courage. It doesn’t take my students long to become totally enthralled with this book.

This book is sure to captivate the minds of my young readers from the very start.

Fiction based on fact is a favorite genre and I love how the main character, Karana, is portrayed as a strong and resilient woman.

The classroom set that I currently have are getting tattered and torn because they have passed through the hands of eager students, loved, and enjoyed over the past 5 years or so. It’s time for an upgrade and I would appreciate your support to provide my class with 26 new copies plus a teachers guide.
