it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first and second grade students are struggling to learn all the different spelling patterns that exist, like a, the a e the ai, the a y. And that’s just for the Long A sound!! They also keep forgetting to begin with a capital letter and end with an end mark.
In first and second grade, students are exposed to a variety of spelling patterns.
First and second graders have a difficult time mastering all the spelling patterns since there are so many of them!!! Knowing most of the spelling and sound patterns will improve writing as well as reading fluency.
My Project
My students need lots and lots of practice with building words and sentences. If my students had magnetic write & wipe boards, whiteboard markers, and magnetic letters they can practice their spelling patterns and sentences in a fun way by themselves or with a partner.
Your donation will help my students to improve in spelling and reading fluency.
Reading fluency is very important. Students that read with fluency can devote more time and energy to reading comprehension.
