Help me give my students an opportunity to learn remotely. I'd love to continue to create opportunities for my families so they can attend live sessions and have resources to support at home learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative and curious children who are attending school like never before. The students in my class use devices to log into morning meeting and Google classroom to participate in our day to day activities. The children have come together to form a kind community with each child exploring, ”Who am I?” For many of the children, this class is their first experience in school. Together with parents and caregivers, they are exploring curriculum and learning through synchronous and asynchronous activities. Many students do not have access to technology, some using a borrowed device, a mobile device and with little to no WiFi.
My Project
My project would support my students who are learning remotely this year. My students rely on wifi to attend daily meetings as well as asynchronous STEAM and literacy content. It is there that they receive feedback from their teacher and can interact with other classmates.
I'd love to be able to provide families with opportunities to learn at home while also following the curriculum.
My project will help students use materials like from the classroom to continue to complete daily assignments, engage with caregivers and make a challenging year impacted by covid a meaningful one.
