This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We need benches and tables for our area near the garden that will be used by students to sit and write, or use their iPads during their Ag Science class. Our students love the garden and spending class time out in our garden is very important to them. When we need to complete classwork it would be amazing to be able to sit close to the garden to work on it. Students tend to be very productive when allowed to work outside surrounded by nature. Having the seating we are requesting would allow us to do this more often.

The tables we are requesting can switch from bench to table and seat very quickly and easily!

We are also working on creating an outdoor kitchen area so we can cook food from our garden and we need tables and seating so students can sit and eat the food we cook. They will be great for sitting at to do their class work or to eat a helping of grilled zucchini from the garden! These tables will be able to serve both of our needs.
