Irma Goodness! We Need a Rug!

My students need a rug to replace the one we lost to Hurricane Irma!

My Students

I teach over 500 students in a rural community of central Florida. We dance, play instruments, sing funny songs, and have a blast. My students are so caring and kind. I can't wait to see then every day! Their favorite thing to do in my room is play "Freeze Dance" to MC Hammer! We perform concerts for the community, and celebrate classroom successes and each other. These students go out of their way to help the students that need it and the teachers that appreciate it.

My Project

The classroom we are blessed to enjoy music in is enormous! We had a gorgeous circle rug--PERFECT for instrument time, group games, and eye-to-eye seating. However, when Hurricane Irma hit Florida, our school suffered the most damage of the entire district: 90% of our classrooms had water damage. The Music Room was flooded! The only casualties were the ENTIRETY of the carpeting, and our beautiful circle rug (obviously it was on the floor when the room flooded).

A new rug would be just what the Music Room at our school needs to return to it's Pre-Irma glory!
