My Students

My students are active kindergartners that come from a variety of different cultures and economic backgrounds. Many of my young learners face different challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite their challenges and differences, they enjoy coming together and learning new things through hands-on experiences.

My students are explorers, builders, inventors, scientists, artists, readers, authors, and most importantly children, children who are filled with energy and a love for learning.

As a third year teacher, I strive for all my students to be able to learn through a motivating, engaging, and real world environment. I am trying my best to provide these active learners with engaging materials that will facilitate learning. I love incorporating technology that fosters learning and broadens their horizons. I love their joy for learning and want to provide them with as many different resources as possible.

My Project

Kindergarten is such an important and exciting year! During Kindergarten, students learn vital foundational skills that will help them be successful throughout their educational career. Most students come in without any prior education. Many of my students need interventions and assistance, while others need to be enriched. iPads are an important tool that will give my students the opportunities to practice reading and math skills during center time through different and exciting apps. We have 2 new iPads to add to the one we already have that we can not wait to use, but before we can use them to help us learn, we need to make sure they are protected from little hands. We also need to make sure little ears are protected too with volume control headphones.

I want my students to learn that technology can be used to further their learning, connect them with their world, and prepare them for the future.

Having accessories will help us be able to use our iPads for personalized student use. We hope you will help make a difference in our learning!
