This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to learn to read at the age of six or seven? My first grade students are in that stage currently, and I'd like to make it easier for them.

I teach first grade in a Title I school district.

Most of my students have limited materials to read in their home environments. They live in a neighborhood populated with high poverty. However, they are such an awesome group of children that are ready to learn and please. For being so early in the school year, I have grow very attached to them already.

My Project

The selected 2 iPods will be a great resource to help my students in going from emergent to independent readers. They will make learning to read a fun thing as they manipulate them. They will help my students become modern technology savvy and better prepared in meeting their educational goals and requirements.

By donating to this project, you will be a contributor to a very deserving group of young children that has very limited resources.

You will help them get better prepared for the state mandated reading requirements. Lastly, you can assist in making learning a fun thing for my students.
