My students need 3 ipod Nanos to help learn, evaluate, and assess music parts and daily performances in class.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Smeller's classroom raised $670

I teach Elementary Music to Kindergarten through 5th grade in Washington State. I love incorporating technology to help kids learn. Like other curriculum, it is so crucial for children to be able to evaluate student work in class. In a music class, our work is through song - either instrumental or vocal. It can be really challenging for children to really listen to what they are singing or playing, especially if the piece has several different music parts going on at the same time. One way to overcome this, is for me to record them playing (or singing) and then as a class listen to the performance. I would like to take this one step further.
I would like for the children to be able to use an iPod to listen to their class work. Also, I would like to record choir parts, so that choir kids could come in during designated times to help learn parts.
3 iPod Nanos would allow students to listen, learn, and even assess their classroom work. I will record classroom performances and student parts so that children can assess the iPods during designated times.
A side from great teaching, technology can also motivate and inspire children to learn. Why not utilize tech tools to help children succeed in music class!
