Ipods For Economics

My students need 2 iPod Touch Digital Players with protective cases for our Economics Computer Center in the classroom.

My Students

"There are three things to remember when teaching: know your stuff; know whom you are stuffing; and then stuff them elegantly," Lola May. I plan to "stuff" my students with the knowledge of economics through project-based learning this year!

My students are first graders, curious of the world around them, and motivated to learn through technology.

What better way to teach them about personal finance than through the use of iPods! Using technology to understand the financial and economic resources of their communities and how they play a integral roles in economics, my students can learn to appreciate and accept their future roles as valuable members of the community through hands-on learning with iPods.

My Project

I am asking for 2 iPod Touch Digital Devices with protective cases for my classroom. Donations toward this project will impact my high-poverty students greatly. Many do not have the means to use technology in their homes. The iPod Touch devices will enhance our economics technology center in my classroom, give students practice learning about the importance of money, and it will give them economics at their fingertips!

With iPod Touch devices in the classroom, my students will be able to use them to gain access to information and apps about finance and economics.

I want the students to use these apps to learn the value of money and how it affects them in their daily lives through project-based learning activities this year.
