This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are an eager and energetic group of Kindergarteners who love to learn! We are a Title I school located in Philadelphia. Our classroom is a safe haven where we can learn and grow together. We try our best and want so much to learn and make our teacher and families proud.
Many students are English Language Learners experiencing their first school days immersed in a foreign language.
As you can imagine, this can be a difficult transition for many. We learn and grow together every day!
My Project
Combined with a projector, the Ipevo Interactive Whiteboard will allow me to present lessons that are interactive. Our curriculum has this component but I have no way to implement it currently. With this technology, my students will be able to come up to the board and manipulate information in order to contribute to what we are learning. This adds so much to a lesson, especially in Kindergarten where we all want to have fun while we are learning. This will allow us to do just that. We will all get to interact and be part of the lesson instead of sitting and being talked at.
The students will benefit from being able to interact with their learning.
This also will allow for me to be up among the students instead of stuck behind my computer arranging the lesson.
