My Students

Imagine the excitement on the face of a second grader who gets to read books, practice reading skills, do research and much more on an iPad! I would love to be able to expose my students to this wonderful piece of technology.

I am a third year, 2nd grade teacher at a Title I school.

Over 79% of the students who attend our school are on free or reduced lunch. My classroom is made up of all kinds of students from all over the world. Each one is unique in their own way and is an important member of our classroom family.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad computer to be used by my students for use in every subject area! The opportunities for learning are endless! From reading iBooks in reading to doing research in any subject area, the iPad will allow my students to experience some amazing technology that most of them are not able to experience outside of school.

I strive each day to make learning an enjoyable experience for my students.

I still remember to this day the teachers who went the extra mile and made learning fun for me. I want to provide as many opportunities as I can for my students to view school and learning as a positive experience. Thank you for taking the time read about my project and for playing a part in building a better tomorrow for these children.
