My students need 7 iPads to have the necessary technology to control the robots we will be using in class to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math.

My Students
My school serves a wide variety of low Socio Economic Status (SES) students and the languages on campus range from Farsi to Spanish to Hindi. Because our students are so diverse, they're all used to being considered "outsiders" or at the least, minorities. This commonality creates a certain level of community within the classrooms.
The kids take care of each other in and outside of the classroom.
We have become a family. It's nice to be able to provide a place that is safe and educational.
My Project
We will use the iPads to program and control Dash robots in class and for an after school program. We will also use them to fill achievement gaps with programs such as Lexia Core 5 and Moby Max.
It is difficult to get computer time in the classroom so having these in the room easily accessible will be great for those times students need to do quick research to answer a question for a project or a paper.
I believe in project based learning and having this technology at our fingertips will make that so much easier to accomplish.
