Give my third graders a fighting chance in the world of Common Core while working in groups and partners!
I teach in a classroom full of third grade students.
Our school is very small, only 1000 students total, but we are growing quickly. We live just a few blocks away from the Pacific coast. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and are all full of life and the love of learning!
My Project
My students need five iPads to use for our new Common Core standards in the classroom. Students will use technology to enhance their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language use. They will tailor their searches on the iPads to acquire useful information efficiently. Then they will integrate what they learn using their iPads with what they learn offline. They are familiar with the strengths and limitations of these tools and can select and use those best suited to their communication goals. Students will also do research in mathematics, science, and social studies while working in groups and with partners.
