Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first-grade students are from a Title I school in the heart of Washington DC! They come to school ready to learn but I want to switch up the traditional classroom and allow them to take charge of their own learning and learning styles. I have a classroom of diverse learners and I want to accommodate their different styles. In this collaborative space, we will be able to discuss and work as a team on projects all year long. They come excited so I want our room to be exciting!
My Project
We need iPads so that we can be challenged independently and learn not only computer skills but also literacy and math skills on our level. iPads allow students to listen to texts read aloud, go on blended learning programs, and learn typing skills. My students currently do not have enough technology in the classroom as the district provided 2 working computers. Help my students have the best products in front of them so they are prepared for the 21st century market! My students light up when they see their score or pass a level! Thank you for helping my students succeed!
