My Project
We are looking to bring a new classroom into the 21st century!
I am a new-to-this-school teacher in a publicly funded charter school under expansion.
The school has recently added four additional classrooms, mine included, and we are lacking technology to get us up and running for the 2023-2024 school year!
I would love to bring my students into the 21st century by giving them access to iPad technology, which will allow them to access multiple platforms at their individualized learning levels.
iPads would allow for reading groups, math practice, financial literacy, science research, and most importantly, delving into their individualized passions through our school-wide project based learning model.
Through Project Based Learning, students will be given a wide theme, then ask and answer questions that pique their interests. Teachers gently guide students toward resources, both technologically based and human resource-based, to answer their questions through writing, critical thinking, art, and leadership.
iPads present a critical component in addressing the class ability to access research materials and individualize instruction on a 1:1 ratio.
These iPads will be used over an over again and should last through another entire generation of learners, eager to delve into their interests and answer their own questions about the world.
