This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in 6th and 7th grade. With your help, I would be able to challenge them in a way they never have been before.
Middle school students are among the hardest age to reach and create 'buy-in' for everyday lessons.
This year I have 200 students that are in either 6th or 7th grade. My school promotes digital literacy as well as every other way for students to succeed in and out of the classroom. My students are artists, athletes, critical thinkers, motivators, leaders, followers, and much much more. They have the ability to do anything in their future, and with the proper resources can realize their full potential.
My Project
I embrace the digital world in order to expose my students to the good technology can do. I would love to be able to reach more students as there are quite a few who do not have the mobile devices to have my classroom be a true 'Bring Your Own Device' classroom. Using these two iPads will not only give them the tools to use for research, but it will also allow me to help teach them how to be good digital citizens in this increasingly digital age.
This donation will not only help me reach my students in a way they have never been reached before in the classroom, but it will also increase engagement of each of my students.
It will help promote lifelong and inquiry-based learning.
