This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I have the privilege to teach and mentor are from a low-income community in Staten Island, NY. My students are receiving special education services. The students are smart and excel in their academics using technology.
I want to help equip them with the resources they need to make this year a success for all of them.
Despite the economic and social challenges they face at home, our school and classrooms are set up to give the students the best educational experience possible.
My Project
Imagine students realizing that the devices they love to use for games and Tik Tok can also be used for giving them a fun learning experience? Ipads have many functions in the classroom one of which is allowing students to access portable devices to complete research for ELA assignments.
Students today are more technologically advanced than ever before.
Children and adults use devices that fit in the palms of their hands to access information from across the globe. Our students can move from seeing Ipads, iPhones, and tablets as gaming devices to seeing these items and valuable educational resources.
