By the end of the year my first graders need to be reading fluently. The two IPAD minis will aid in this by allowing children to connect to reading programs as part of our daily reading group rotation.
In my classroom I have 19 energetic and inquisitive first graders.
They love to be engaged and are becoming masters at making technology work for them and enhance their lives. Our rural country school is doing an amazing job at trying to give each student a great education so they be productive and responsible citizens with the ability to make all their dreams come true.
My Project
The two IPAD minis will be added to the four we already use daily in our classroom. The students will use the IPADS every day during reading and math groups to increase their reading fluency and math skills. With a total of six ipads my students will be able to work in groups and create projects to share with the class on various science and social studies topics.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by making my students active participants in their own learning.
My students will learn to work together in groups at a young age and will carry this skill with them for years to come.
