My students need technology in the classroom to prepare them for the real world environment. As our nation becomes increasingly more technology-dependent, it becomes even more necessary for them to be successful citizens.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My elementary school is located in Philadelphia. The school has a very diverse student population with the majority of students been Hispanic and or African American. More then 90% of the student population lives below the poverty level.
Students are excited about STEM education.
Students have been able to do some STEM activities; however, more materials are needed. Students are able to do some coding activities; however, I would like to expand the opportunities and classroom activities that are offered to them.
My Project
The use of the iPads will work in conjunction with the Osmo Kits. The Osmo Kits need the iPads in order to be used. The iPads will be used by designated classrooms to try out the different Osmo Kits in classrooms to see how well students work with them. For example if a teacher is working on a math unit involving fractions and or money, they would be able to sign out an Osmo Kit and an iPad.
The iPad in the classroom brings education to life.
Interactive technology makes learning more engaging and memorable. The iPads with the use of the Osmo Kits will help to bring interactive learning to different classrooms.
