My Project

I teach precious kindergartners, full of love for learning! Throughout the day, we do a lot of small group station work that allows them to receive differentiated instruction that best meets their needs and abilities.

One of the stations that the students love is the listening center.

In the listening center, students have the opportunity to listen to and read their favorite books. Listening centers model fluent reading, helps students decode unfamiliar words, teach critical listening skills, introduces new vocabulary, provides a read-aloud model, and introduces students to new genres and books at different reading levels. With iPads, students can listen to and read books on a variety of apps and programs.
