Ipads For Growing 2nd Grade Minds.

My students need Ipads to help support learning and build technological skills.

My Students

My classroom currently consists of 23 active 2nd graders. My students come in, everyday, eager to learn and challenge themselves. My school is a Title I school, where most of our students receive free or reduced lunches, and all of our students are offered free breakfast. My students do not always come to school with the basic things they need to start the day. We work hard, as a staff, to make sure that we have a strong sense of community, throughout our entire school.

Despite all these challenges, my students come to school, everyday, with smiles on their faces, excited for the day.

My classroom is an ELD room, where some of my students are working to learn English, as well as grade level content. I am always trying to find new ways to improve learning for all my students.

My Project

My students would benefit from having Ipads in the classroom because it would help support their growing knowledge about technology and how to use it. I have children of all learning and language levels and allowing them to use Ipads gives them the ability to work at their academic level.

Technology is such a major part of our society that my students need exposure to technology to grow in the 21st century.

I want to give my students the best possible advantage for their futures and I feel that exposing them to technology gives them that advantage. For second graders Ipads are an easy tool to use and manipulate independently.
