This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are creative, thoughtful and incredibly kind! They absolutely love hands-on, active and engaging projects. They come to school every day eager to learn and with a positive attitude.
My kids have chosen to come to our school for a hands-on educational experience.
An educational experience in which their culture and lifestyles will be embraced in the classroom. Each one of my students is unique, but that's what makes our classroom community all that much better.
My Project
My school is a low-income school where 100% of the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Most of these students have never been exposed to technology such as iPads simply because they can be expensive.
Research shows that when technology is integrated into lessons, students are expected to be more interested in the subjects they are studying.
Technology provides different opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching same things in new ways. I would love to be able to provide 2 iPads for my classroom so my students can learn while staying engaged and enjoying themselves. There are several times throughout the day where we break off into small groups for centers where my students will be able to use an iPad for all subject areas. Please help make this possible for these amazing students!
