My students need iPads in order to learn new skills to become successful in school. Incorporating iPads will help motivate students to learn through the use of technology.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How long can you go without using your iPhone, iPad, or laptop? If the answer is not long at all then you must agree that you are living in a whole filled with technology.
Our school is located in a culturally diverse neighborhood in the Bronx, New York.
Our school is about 70% Hispanics, 30% ELLs, and 90% low income. I have 18 students who come in every morning with bright smiles and are eager to learn, sing, dance and play. This project will be used for my students whom are attending a school setting for the first time ever. The students coming into our school are mostly bilingual with little to no English language.
My Project
iPads are being used in elementary and high school classrooms to help motivate students to learn across the board. What about iPads in Pre-K? Using iPads are considered learning in their world. It provides hands-on interactive learning, which hopefully will lead to independent learners. There are plenty of new apps for classroom activities that help students learn reading skills, sequencing, sound-letter recognition and patterns. These applications will help my students learn important concepts while having fun all through the use of their tiny fingertips. The preschool apps for the iPad will help reinforce the concepts preschoolers need to learn, in order to be successful in school. They can increase their fluency and understanding of the English language. They will be able to be immersed in the language with audio and visuals from the iPad. Incorporating iPads in preschool classrooms will help motivate students to learn through the use of new technology.
We all know that children love technology.
Many of my students have limited access to technology because they come from low-income households. Their only exposure is often simply in school. With your donation, my students will be able to access apps to strengthen their phonemic awareness, listen to stories read aloud, learn about print and how it works, identify letters by name or shape, identify separate sounds in spoken language, connect single letters with the sounds they make, and much more.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
