Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Decision Night is a tradition at LPS-H. Every year, we celebrate the dedication and work ethic of the graduating senior class as they take their next steps towards their postsecondary journeys. For many of our students, they will be first-generation college students or first-generation professionals. My goal is to create a celebration that validates the efforts they have shown this year and to motivate them to keep pushing forward.
We honor our seniors by providing them with resources, such as electronics--this iPad will be raffled during Decision Night in May, where seniors will be celebrated by their peers, their teachers, and their families for their college acceptances and postsecondary plans.
We hope that by providing them with tools and necessary resources now, it'll make their transition from high school more seamless and less daunting. Our hope is to continue inspiring our students to pursue higher education. Donations gifted will help students succeed in their postsecondary paths.
