My students need 2 more iPads so I can have a full set for Center time so each student can work individually rather than sharing.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, eager to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.

The majority of my kindergarteners have not been to pre-school, so this is their first experience in an educational setting.

I want it to be as enriching as possible so I can keep them engaged and build their educational foundation.

I also have many ELL students this year so I want to give them every opportunity to catch up to their English-speaking peers.

My Project

With the current push towards technology, I would like to offer my students a better way to integrate it into the classroom. Our school has given us small netbooks to use in the classroom, but it is difficult for most kindergarteners to navigate them.

Students in kindergarten are not used to typing and using mice so it would be more developmentally appropriate for them to use touch screens.

Can you help us enter the modern age?

We will use the iPads during our Center Time to reinforce the subjects we are learning. I have downloaded many great apps which help them practice Sight Words, Reading, and Math. They love to use them and I love that they are learning while playing games because they are having fun because it keeps them engaged!
