My Students
My students are eager to learn with technology. They are more engaged in the learning process when technology is involved. Who wouldn't want their child to come to school every day with the desire to learn to their fullest ability? I teach a total of 50 fifth graders in math and science. They come from various backgrounds and have a wide range of abilities.
I would love to be able to diversify my teaching more with the use of technology.
My Project
My students have a wide range of abilities and would greatly benefit from the use of technology. Using technology for instruction can be a struggle when we have to rotate our limited technology throughout the day.
Our school is rapidly growing and, with that, we are stretching our technology thin.
The students have expressed a desire to learn with technology, and I would like to be able to provide that for them.
My students have stressed the desire to be able to use educational apps that are only available on Apple products. My students will use the iPad tablets to create iMovies, use 30hands to create project and "flipped" videos, use Peak-Brain Training for brain breaks, and so much more! The protective cases will ensure that our devices are fully protected while in use.
This project will ensure that my students will be staying in tune with the changing world around them. It will give them access to yet another form of technology that they might not otherwise get to use. Most of all, this project will keep them engaged in their learning, which is what we all should desire for our students.
