My students come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. It is the most diverse school I have ever worked at. Kids come from all over the city. Because it is so diverse, it is very special. Students learn to work together and to respect one another.
My students are eager learners.
They love to learn and are so enthusiastic. A good and fun start to the new year is very important for the students to set the tone of excitement. They make me want to come to work every day!
My Project
After a year of distance learning, my students have really surprised me with their ability to utilize technology to advance their learning. They grew to be in charge of their own learning and reached a level of independence that I have not seen in prior years. Technology was central in ensuring that our students were able to grow in spite of such conditions.
Technology has become central to our students' learning and will continue to be central going forward.
Having these iPads will give my students access to a multitude of books, information, learning apps, and online tools to help facilitate their growth. I've utilized a of digital resources this year that I believe will be incredibly helpful moving forward. This year has shown me to embrace technology and utilize it in an effective way to advance student learning.
