My Students

Our school (SSES) is located in Coronado, CA. 85% of our population serves military children. There are approximately 288 students.

Through rigorous academic standards, high expectations, and a coordinated curriculum, SSES, in partnership with our small, involved community, will graduate students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in higher education, careers, society, and life with the confidence not only to dream but to determine their futures.

My Project

Our educators are continually seeking innovative methods to engage and instruct an academically rigorous population of students in 21st Century skills. The use of iPads will engage our students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Through the concept of "app smashing," the iPads will allow students to use multiple apps to create projects which can be shared with others to showcase their learning. Students will also use productivity apps to demonstrate skills learned in the classroom. All students at our school will have access to these iPads. This will cultivate a love of STEAM concepts among our students, and prepare them for a successful future in our digital world.
