iPads Came, iPracticed, iConquered!

My students need 2 class iPads to use in class to help them practice their math facts on Reflex Math, and to type essays that will help them prepare for the end-of-year state test.

My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids who are chomping at the bit to learn all they can in 4th grade. They are so excited to be here. Our school, comprised of K-5 students, is focusing this year on having a growth mindset.

My kids have already taken this idea to heart.

They are hard workers and dedicated learners. My students already understand that mistakes and failures are parts of learning and help us grow; so they are not afraid to try in my class! They welcome the challenges I give them because they understand that hard things help their brains grow and become smarter!

My Project

These class iPads will give my students the opportunity to work with technology in-class and extend their learning. While my kids could simply practice with regular math flashcards, the math fact programs I use in my class are more interactive and engaging. They also construct reports and other data for parents and myself to view student progress. Those math fact programs will be available to my kiddos on these iPads. With the presence of iPads in my classroom, I will also be able to let my students practice their keyboarding skills while they also practice their writing skills. My students will type assigned essays on the iPad and then submit them to me via Google docs so I can evaluate their writing practice. This will be essential help as we (the students and I) prepare for the state test at the end of the year, in which they will be required to type two separate essays.
